South Africa has a critical shortage of doctors. This was revealed in a recent parliamentary Q&A with health minister Dr Joe Phaahla. Phaahla said one doctor treats around 1,000 patients. We now speak to Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa, Chairperson of the South African Medical Association.
