As parents, we are aware of the many challenges that we need to confront today – the academic “rat race”, the internet and social media, and so on.

How can we, as Catholic parents, prepare our children to face these challenges and overcome them? What is the difference between an expectation and a growth mindset? How can we help our children flourish amidst all the challenges they have to face in today’s world?

In this interview with Dr Jennifer Kiing, we seek answers to these questions and more. Dr Kiing is a senior consultant paediatrician at the child development unit, National University Hospital. She has been caring for children with developmental, behavioural and emotional conditions for the past 18 years.
