So when the attack began, people were concerned. One of my friends was like, c'mon Jeff. We gotta go, we gotta go. And my thought was, document, document, document, document.

There is no armed resistance. The guerillas laid down their arms and entered into the Peace Accords. But the war transformed into another counter-insurgency. Today you see the same issues arising in a different context. The question of land. The history of Guatemala is the struggle over land.
