Monicah Kariuki is the Chief Executive Officer of Ekho FM, a popular diaspora radio station that has you in mind, breaking the distance barrier to connection. She is also the founder of Standing In The Gap, a non-profit organization advocating against domestic violence by creating awareness and encouraging people to share their voice. Monicah believes that we can save lives by sensitizing our community to tough topics. She says that “love doesn’t have to hurt and we need to educate and empower.” Through various platforms, Monicah enjoys engaging in so-called ‘uncomfortable’ discussions, where she can educate and empower the community to be stronger.
