In this podcast episode, I talk to my former boss, the previous CEO of the Santa Fe Boys & Girls Club. We talk about what it is like running an organization and the creation of the Santa Fe Teen Center that we launched together. We discuss the lessons that we have learned running the club, how we came up with the idea to launch the Teen Center in a mall, what makes it successful (4500 youth came in the doors in one year), the programs that we offer to kids and how to make sure that they feel safe and trust us, what makes good staff, how to relate to teens, divercity of the club, how the club becomes family, the rewarding feeling when you see the impact you have on kids lives and to always be planing seeds.
