The Legal Resources Centre is
challenging the birth and deaths registration act.
This comes after they’ve been inundated with
requests from parents who have tried to register
their children without success. The LRC launched an
application in the Cape Town High Court on behalf
of 17 parents who have been denied birth certificates
for their children. We now speak to Muyenga
Mugerwa-Sekawabe who is a candidate attorney at
the Legal Resources Centre.
