South Africa's "The Wound" has made it to the 9-film shortlist for the Academy Awards! We interviewed director John Trengove at the Palm Springs International Film Festival about the film's journey from Sundance to the shortlist, making a film entirely in the traditional Xhosa language, and dealing with both praise & condemnation from South African audiences.
