Tony talks about Mountain Bike Course Design, what it takes, what it means and how you do it.
My favourite quote of the episode is "Typically by the time the event's come around you've put so much work into it, you know, you're kinda thinking, "Wow, is this all worth it?" You know, by the time you get there. But then when you see the riders on the day and it all comes together on the day and you see how much it means to the riders, you know, to anyone there. Whether they're doing it for the first time or whether they're there for the 18th time, you know. Whether they're doing the 20K, the 40, the 70 this year or the 100, you know, everyone's still putting in the same amount of effort, and regardless of the distance they're doing and they're still getting that, reward for their efforts. And yes, when you see the riders enjoy it and what they get out of it, that's what makes it worthwhile for us as event organizers."
