What are the Mapuche actually fighting for?

In this second part of my conversation with Simón Loncopán, a Mapuche leader from southern Chile, we move into the political and territorial dimensions of the conflict between the Mapuche people and the Chilean State.

Simón explains the main demands of many Mapuche communities today: land restitution, territorial autonomy, environmental protection, and the right to make decisions about their own land.

We also talk about poverty, representation, extractive industries, and why this conflict is not just about the past, but about the future.
