Ben Fransham is a New Zealand actor that has played creatures in some of the most iconic films in the last twenty years. This last year he starred as Elligos in Ash Vs Evil Dead as well as the Nosferatu like vampire Petyr in my favorite comedy of the year What We Do in the Shadows. Other roles include Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, 30 Days of Night, Legend of the Seeker, and Heavenly Creatures. 

Through an Skype interview we talked to Ben about how he got his start in movies dancing with Kate Winslet, the makeup process to get into his characters, the emerging genre filmmaking market in New Zealand over the last twenty years and getting lit on fire in What We Do In the Shadows.
