Carrie is in her third year teaching kindergarten at Tiller School in Beaufort, NC. Her whole life She's been an avid animal lover and have been rescuing animals. In February of 2017, with the help of her best friend, Bea Hamilton, she co-founded a 501 (C)3 dog rescue called Misplaced Mutts. It is a foster program for dogs (and more recently cats). We take in homeless shelter animals or animals that are potentially shelter bound and place them in foster homes. We get them altered and fully vetted so they are happy and healthy entering their forever home. Since 2017 we have placed well over 800 animals in forever homes.
