Today we feature Deidre Mirand.

Deidre Mirand is an educator devoted to providing lessons in life and literature to today's youth. She has taught English Language Arts and writing for over 17 years. Encouraging young authors, she published a compilation of short stories titled, “Dream World” written by various students. Though Deidre has been a teacher and worked with children for over half of her life, she began questioning her purpose. On a road to self-discovery, she was diagnosed with Mit Translocation Renal Cell Carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer. This propelled her into finding her purpose in providing hope, help and healing to those who doubt their God-given purpose on this earth. Deidre is a Georgia girl with a Caribbean heart, a loving mother of one beautiful soul, a devoted daughter, a sister and a mentor to many. She is a faithful follower of Christ and a true believer in the divinity of life. She is an educator, but the classroom was only the beginning.
