Gail and her family created the Al Mackler Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization which supports Pediatric Cancer Research. Each year, the foundation holds a 5k race, 1 mile fun run, 1 mile walk and 50 yard dash for kids. The 2022 race, held in front of the Tropicana, Atlantic City is scheduled for Sunday July 31.
