SAC has interviewed another great Mayor! Mayor Hillary Schieve of Reno, Nevada has been in office since 2014 and has done awesome things! Mayor Schieve used to be a professional figure skater that had planned to compete in the Olympics before she suffered from medical complications. However, she was a killer athlete and competed at a very high level. 

In the episode, Mayor Schieve and I have a conversation about her transition into politics and the parallels between the two lives she has lived. She expressed that many lesions she has learned from being an athlete have led her to her position today and that athletes are wired a certain way to be successful. 

Also, the University of Nevada-Reno is a major University in the city where sports are huge! They compete in the Mountain West conference and have a huge fan base from the community. Mayor Schieve talked about the connection with UNR and the community, and the youth programs implemented in Reno so kids can live out their dreams!
