Interview with International Media Mogul Paul Robinson
Paul is an experienced international senior media executive with a strong track record of success at major organisations including the BBC, Walt Disney Company and KidsCo (NBC Universal and Corus Ent). He has strategic and operational expertise, and is equally comfortable in commercial and public service organisations.
For the last 20 years Paul has worked at CEO/MD level and is known to make things happen in a pragmatic yet focussed, goal oriented style.
Paul is adept at securing change in large organisations and is also a talented entepreneur. He started KidsCo from an initial idea. He devised the business plan, securing shareholder funding,hired staff and launched the business and as CEO achieved 15 million customers in 98 countries in 5 years before majority sale to NBC Universal.
Prior To his television and digital career, Paul was a successful radio exec, turning round national commercial station Talk Radio/Talksport from loss, as a senior leader in BBC national radio and as a Program Director and presenter in local commercial radio. He is a regular contributor to debate on media matters and is an accomplished TV, radio and press contributor. He is successful regular speaker and chair for numerous industry events including The IBC, Amsterdam, TV Connect, OTT World Congress, MipCom/Miptv and Radiodays Europe.
