James K.A. Smith is one of the leading voices in Christian philosophy. His work on the thought of such postmodern thinkers as Derrida, Lyotard and Foucault has not only helped clarify positions that are often misunderstood, but also has been key in displaying the benefit that postmodern thought can bring to Christian apologetics. Apologetics.com was honored to host Dr. Smith as the plenary speaker at the Imagining the Good Life Conference put on in partnership with California Baptist University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to the conference, staff apologist Sam Welbaum was able to sit down with Dr. Smith to talk about the conference, human flourishing, postmodernism and the dangers of having a Modernistic faith.
