I spoke with Karla in late June from her temporary home in Tuba City, AZ on her day off from taking care of COVID patients in the Navajo Nation.

Karla grew up in Brainerd MN and is based in Missoula, MT, though she is currently working in the Navajo Nation and resides in her RV in Tuba City, AZ.
