They discuss the role of the library to lean into the emerging needs of students and families amid the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in schools and youth development organizations to suspend services. Lauren shares insights on teaching and learning and the need for students' basic needs to be met prior to expecting learning to flourish. She also shares her experience with school districts partnering with community, city and youth development organizations, like the library, to provide a human-centered learning experience.
