The native American Inidans see the butterfly as a symbol of joy. This year, for my birthday, my friend Angela had especially made for me a beautiful butterfly necklace. I love the necklace, it has special energy and gives me great delight to wear it. So meeting and talking with the creator of my gift was a brilliant experience. Louise took me through her creative process, and what I found fascinating was how much she finds running helps her create her beautiful jewellery. How the rhythm of the run brings up all sorts of previously unseen possibilities and how she then returns home, ready to fashion her 'base metal' into the gold that becomes my butterfly and her many other pieces of beautiful jewellery!

It is also inspiring hearing how she decided to create her business, how an idea can become a reality. What strikes most is her love of it, which means that her jewellery will be holding the energy of that joy! I can feel it in my butterfly for sure!
