I met Mark in a shopping centre in Edinburgh when he was running a marathon on a treadmill, and two months later I travelled to Spain to run the 49th of 50 marathons with him, just one part of a journey which has taken him from Amsterdam to Barcelona, raising £25,000 for Headway in the process. We recorded our first podcast together in April, in the Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh - with his journey still ahead of him. This, our second podcast, was recorded in the afternoon having run together for 26 miles of his epic journey, with the 90 degree heat and spectacular scenery of sunny Spain as a backdrop to our morning together. Mark is an inspiration, in answer to my question as to what he has learnt, he replied that he has learnt that anything is possible and that it has opened him to bigger horizons, and how moved he has been by people's generosity of spirit, that there are so many people willing to give of themselves.
