Merpire, the moniker of Melbourne-based artist Rhiannon Atkinson-Howatt writes music living somewhere between the rom-com and horror movie sections in her mind.
She has shared the stage with the likes of Julia Jacklin, Gengahr (UK) and Angie McMahon as well as appearing at Bigsound, A Festival Called Panama and Brunswick Music Festival.
In 2018 Merpire signed to indie management company Fright Night Music, which was started by Dean Valentino in 2015. As well as also managing the careers of Feelds, Neighbourhood Youth and Peachnoise, Dean also fronts Melbourne dream-pop outfit, Slowcoaching.
