This week on the podcast, Aveen talks with Mike Cohen.
Mike Cohen, MA is a leadership coach and founder of Kirtan Leader Institute. His career encompasses two strands: leadership development, and spiritual and psychological growth through music.
Mike helps leaders generate speaking and listening that supports timely action amidst complexity. His clients build skills in expressing their creativity, coordinating action, building trust, and delivering on big promises.
A life-long musician, Mike has been a practitioner and teacher of Kirtan (sacred chant) for over two decades. Since 2010 he has trained and apprenticed thousands of Kirtan students, from total beginners through advanced leaders he has guided to tour, play festivals and create/release Kirtan albums. Mike’s Kirtan training is informed by his training as an Integral, Somatic and Enneagram coach, along with decades of study in numerous philosophical, psychological and spiritual lineages.
Mike has released four critically-acclaimed full length Kirtan albums, the most recent two with Grammy Award-nominated producer Ben Leinbach (Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Deva Premal).
