I met Naomi in London when I was at an SOS event. I was just about to leave and she came over and said hello to me, as we were following each other on twitter! We didn't have a chance to chat then as I was aiming for a train, so our podcast together was our first real conversation - I enjoyed it a lot! Her enthusiasm for life - for her family, her work and her running is uplifting and inspiring, especially for anyone balancing bringing up little children with working. The value of running, the time for herself, the time to think and return refreshed and committed to all she does is a message that says a lot for committing to giving time to move the body - whether in running or any other way. She finds that the power of exercise helps the children she works with who have emotional difficulties and are learning how to release and understand their anger. It was lovely to speak with Naomi and every year she runs a marathon on her birthday in October to raise money for charity - a birthday present to herslef she says - but of course it then becomes a present to many others too!
