J. Jewels is an East Coast music producer who utilizes stylized rhythmic sounds.  J. Jewels has worked with Ne-Yo – the Gentleman, Serani, Mighty Mystic and many other ground-breaking artists.

 Jewels was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti, his family migrating to the US in the late 80’s, though – unable to obtain a visa for the child, leaving young Jewels behind.  He lived with his grandmother on his father’s side for almost a year and half until his parents obtained that visa.

Jewels educated himself, learning a second language to communicate with fellow students at the Brooks Hobbs Magnet School in Medford where he attended sixth grade.  By his freshman year in high school Jewels could speak fluent English. He played soccer while establishing friendships, displaying a high proficiency for networking.  During high school Jewels’ involvement in music led to a small business handling the DJ work at weddings, adding video to his list of services.
