Romero made history as the first Black SIA President, striving to improve the lives of SkyWest Flight Attendants. Unfortunately, his tenure was plagued by racism and a lack of support from management. Despite his advocacy, the SIA Board, in coordination with management, forced him out.
In this interview, Romero shares his experiences, from facing viral racist text messages to the lack of separation between SIA and SkyWest management.
