In this episode, I talk with Scott Sutton, who is the Chief Development Officer at Empower Brands about how he got into franchising and eventually moved into franchise development at Empower Brands. Empower Brands is located in Richmond, Virginia and currently offers ten brands (Archadeck Outdoor Living, Bumble Roofing, Canopy Lawn Care, Conserva Irrigation, FRSTeam, Jan-Pro, Koala Insulation, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, Superior Fence and Rail, and Wallaby Windows) and eight that are in active development (as Jan-Pro is essentially sold out and Wallaby Windows is a new, emerging brand). Scott shares insights into commonalities amongst their franchisees, what franchise partners love most about Empower, their franchise development process and Empower Days, and the excitement he and their team have as they welcome new franchise partners and help them to succeed.
