Marija Bjekic's work explores and references the 20th century utopias, the position of working class, and the architectural structures that govern the behaviour, until they collapse.
We met to discuss her hyperrealist drawings combined with the geometric, almost grid like forms inspired by Russian Constructivism and Bauhaus.
"This forms are in very sensitive fragile uncertain balance. Human figures are balancing on them, or holding them, or building from them."
