Shawn Leary founded the 'Rare Pepe' crypto art collection alongside developer Joe Looney. Rare Pepe's were created on Bitcoin, and made it possible to buy, sell, trade, gift, and destroy digital artworks. It represented the first blockchain community where artwork could be transacted through the blockchain. The project represents the foundation of what came a few years later in the Ethereum ecosystem: NFTs.
