In our journey to move further down The Downward Spiral towards @on_a_downward_spiral , Ryan interviews two young women who are dominating the internet. Taylor Lorenz is an American culture and technology reporter for The New York Times, covering topics related to internet culture (via Wikipedia). Sophie runs a viral meme page called @joan.of.arca , which is one of our current favorites at AntiArt. After Taylor featured Sophie and a lot of her friends and fellow shitposters in a print article in The New York Times, I thought it'd be interesting to talk to both of them face-to-face. We talk everything from early Tumblr culture to hype houses to Tik Tok digests and even attempt to help Sophie figure out her future career.
