Jack Murphy, M.Arch. student and co-editor of "PLAT 8.0: Simplicty", spoke with Cullinan lecturer Tom Emerson, founder of 6a Architects and professor at the ETH Department of Architecture (Zurich), about his thoughts on materiality, the relationship between nature and architecture, and the scalar process of design. Tom expresses how he weaves these common threads through both his professional work and teaching methods. He finds this symbiotic relationship constantly fruitful.
