Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Psalm 73:23-24
Asaph was discouraged. Even though he was the leader of one of King David’s three Levitical choirs, even though he was serving the Lord, Asaph “envied the arrogant when [he] saw the prosperity of the wicked” (Psalm 73:3). Asaph said, “When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply” (Psalm 73:16). But then he gained an eternal perspective. In contrast to the temporary and ultimately meaningless gains of the “wicked,” Asaph noted the godly advantages. Check out four benefits found in today’s passage.
I just wanna go where, I’m only breathing Your air, Father hear my prayer, Take me there,
Take me there
I just wanna see You, Brighter than I’m used to, Finally see You clear, Take me there, Take me there, Take me there
Father, thank You that death is only a transition to eternal life. Thank You that one day You will take me into glory where I’m only breathing Your air. Thank You that one day I’ll see You brighter. Thank You that one day You will take me there! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
