If there is someone who has soared in the African Fashion Industry or just the fashion industry it's Ms. Diana Opoti. The first time I met her she came to Addis Ababa to cover The Hub of Africa Fashion Week for DSTV. She was a delight when I met her, green in the industry but also asked some very key questions about the industry. Cut to two years later, I met up with her and she was thinking of starting 100 days of African Fashion and she was already in the middle of her show Designing Africa. I still have her in my view and still amazed by the progress she has made - but don't think it's been easy, it tough and she is still standing - I am humbled to be chatting with Business of Fashion listed, Africa pushing, talented and supporter of all brands African - Diana Opoti.

Kenny Allen is one 'helluva' an individual! He took on a path that to most would scare them, but he moved from his home town in DC to Addis Ababa Ethiopia 15 years ago and has conquered and soared in his music, producing for local and international artists and still had time to do radio, act and create a bag brand Undken! I love his zeal, I love his passion and I love all the change he embraces in his life! He is always re-creating and evolving and I want a slice of his pie! Let's talk about all things Kenny Allen and what's happening and what he's planning!

It felt very serendipitous when we met at a local cafe in Addis Ababa to talk about the 1st English Radio station in Ethiopia, only to realize we had actually met when I was working at Capital FM. He actually walked in while I was in the middle of a show, and the rest is part of my story! Some say it's chance, I say it was God's way! Well, this amazing gentleman Addis Alemayehou would then mentor me, guide US (Mahlet & I) when we were setting up The Hub of Africa Fashion Week, and has continued to be one of the biggest resources in my life! He is Unlocking Africa one step at a time, bridging the gap between innovative ideas and financial support through strategic partnerships.
