In particular, living under the constant threat of deportation and legal jeopardy exacts a psychological toll on their children. In this episode of Into the Fold, Dr. Luis Zayas, Dean of the School of Social Work and the Robert Lee Sutherland Chair in Mental Health and Social Policy at The University of Texas at Austin, discusses his own work on the mental health needs of children of the undocumented, and the effects of deportation anxiety on their sense of safety in the world.
