Welcome back to MOTHS and welcome to Into The Garden! This conversation was recorded 2 weeks before my grandfather passed away .Enjoy as he talks about his life and the love .
THE ROOT
As far as I know my grand father was my oldest relative. February 9th 1941- February 26th 2021 , 80 long wonderful blessed years of life and joy . I was lucky to be apart of it and to be born into it .My grandfather best quality was seeing the greater good in people he loved , no matter what you wanted to do in life he saw you in the highest place and could probably give you a game plan on how to get there. He was special because he wasnât the typical old man he grew up in a time where in America there wasnât much to laugh about . But , he remained true to who he was which was loving his family , following Christ and believing in himself . I miss my best friend so much , itâs almost been 4 years since the last time I seen , smelt , dapped , hugged my old man. This man was my father figure , I donât know too many grand parents that would drive from San Antonio to Houston every two weeks just to hang out with me , I was so spoiled with love and abundance I didnât even know it at the time . Im 26 years old and wish I could wake up to be 6 years old again walking up to them on a Saturday afternoon . I miss my best friend , he was supposed to be my best man at my wedding one day . He never question God or his timing so Iâm not going to. I hope you all enjoy this , my best friend the worlds greatest grandpa Robert Leon Flowers aka Rabbit aka The Root.
