Bitch, Why?

Into the Spider-Verse Part 1: Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse

Listen Later

This week, we cover one of our favorite movies, Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, as a lovely little palate cleanser before we get into our three-part series on Twilight. We gush over everything from the stylization to the animation to the SOUNDTRACK. We attempt to unpack the significance of Spiderman’s relationship to the cops in this film in contrast to his relationship to the cops in other versions (*gasp* is there Copaganda in this movie??). Neeta gets into the role of animation in film and Gaia perfectly articulates the love we have for Miles’ story and the way it's told. This love fest ends in us deciding to get married on a farm in Maine because of course it does (save the date!) and we decide to make Spiderman an ongoing series where we eventually will cover every on-screen iteration of Spiderman, so be on the lookout for that! We read our first fan mail and get incredibly emo about it too, this week on 'Bitch, Why?

Be sure to leave us a review and email us at [email protected] if you have a topic you want us to cover (or just to say hi)! We’ll read them on the pod!
