The trillion dollar student loan debt started with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Despite this symptom of an even greater problem, school districts, states & students are left to fend for themselves as they maneuver the ins and outs of this ambiguous federal form. Good but Ugly was born out of frustration of the FAFSA, which remains an unnecessary barrier to college access faced by many, especially international and first generation college students. The goal of this podcast is to start a conversation that goes beyond surface level FAFSA simplification and leads to financial literacy as the new normal.
