Matt 6:10 ...Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

● This is our declaration of committing our lives, our

decisions, our thoughts, our speech and our

actions to pursuing His life, His decisions, His

thoughts, His speech and His actions.

○ Jesus said in John chapter 6 “I came to do the

will of the One who sent Me”

○ In John 5 Jesus says “I only do what I see My

Father do”

○ In John 12 He says “I speak just as the Father

has told me to speak”

● Mark 3:33-35 But He answered them, saying,

“Who is My mother, or My brothers?” 34 And He

looked around in a circle at those who sat about

Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My

brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is

My brother and My sister and mother.”

● We have the ability TO do the will of God, or NOT

do will of God.

○ 1 Thes 4:3 For this is the will of God, your

sanctification: that you should abstain from

sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should

know how to possess his own vessel in

sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of

lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

6 that no one should take advantage of and

defraud his brother in this matter, because

the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also

forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did

not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject

man, but God, who has also given us His

Holy Spirit.

○ 1 Thes 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without

ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this

is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

○ 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning

His promise, as some count slackness, but is

longsuffering toward us, not willing that any

should perish but that all should come to

repentance.

○ 1 Tim 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that

supplications, prayers, intercessions, and

giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for

kings and all who are in authority, that we

may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all

godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good

and acceptable in the sight of God our

Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved

and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

● Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good and

acceptable and perfect will of God.

○ The will of God is not a mystery...it is

contained in His Word.

○ This is our time in prayer to speak the Word.
