Hello and welcome to the Valley Today podcast listeners! I have some good news and bad news for you about today's conversation for Public Safety Thursday with Captain Warren Gosnell from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. As is the custom in my house, we always start with the bad news first so the good news can make us feel better.

So … the bad news: There was a technical glitch in recording the show today. We were live in the studio which means I have a bit less control over the audio and recording mechanisms since I'm not using my own equipment. It appears the first segment of today's conversation where we talked about Captain Gosnell's promotion and his new, expanded duties did not record.

But the good news is that the second half of our conversation DID record so it wasn't a total loss from a podcast perspective.
