This is episode 1 of my podcast - an introduction, a little bit about me and my journey from being very overweight and unhealthy, with various auto immune disorders, to finding my way back to health and weight loss using real food. For me that was Keto, low carb and more recently carnivore. I also dusted off my old coaching files and used my coaching techniques and mindset strategies to support me on my way.
I've been living this way of life for over 10 years and real food is how I keep off the weight and support good mental health.
This podcast is about low carb, keto and carnivore, and it's more than that, it's also about the mindset side of weight loss, an often overlooked side, and in my opinion, as important as nutrition - the two support each other.
It's also about microbiome. Having suffered from chronic IBS for over 15 years, I will never again allow my body and brain to be overcome by the dreadful pain of poor gut health, and whilst for some people, microbiome is not one of the cornerstones of good health and weight loss, for many of us, it does have a part to play.
In addition to this podcast I have a YouTube channel: KetoGaia_Kitchen where you will find videos about thi lifestyle (which are not the same as the podcasts), and cookery videos.
My background is not medicine, or nutrition, so I come at this from the point of somebody who used to be very unwell and found their way back to health. I don't use scientific terms, but I am very focused on the mindset side of weight loss, because that is what my coaching practice used to be.
