As the Hmong community increases in population within America, we begin to face uncomfortable topics that become "taboo." As if we don't already have uncomfortable topics of our own that need light to be shined on already, right?The Hmong elders, grandparents, parents, uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins, brothers and sisters have gone through trials and tribulations to get to America. Now being faced with the assimilation and issues of the American society, after 48 or so years, how have we integrated and adapted?How are the Hmong American generation(s) growing up today? Have you been struggling as a Hmong American within your household? Your voice becomes white noise and you cannot be heard? Struggling between what is Hmong CULTURE and what is Hmong TRADITION?The Hmong Heritage Podcast will be shining light on uncomfortable topics such as these.
