This is the introduction to the story of the week, Champions. It comes from the book The Hangman’s Rope. I was sure that this was the story for me, after talking to the people around me and finding that they just get bitter when their teams lose in playing a game. However, when I went to see my barber, and we were talking the two of us were sharing the story of how the team wouldn’t sign the contract of the manager if he failed to win this next year. I said it didn’t matter to me. I said it was just a game. That’s what he said, as well. I think that sportsmanship is a little lost and needs some help. Can we still find it in this lost world? I think so.
