Welcome to the very first episode of Let’sTalkIFA.
In this introductory episode, brothers Awo Ifeajimini Ray and Awo Ifeategunse (Saidele) introduce the vision, purpose, and responsibility behind the Let’sTalkIFA platform. This podcast was created to educate, guide, and help unify people within the Ifa / Yoruba cultural community—especially those who are new, returning, or seeking deeper understanding.
Let’sTalkIFA is about more than spirituality. Ifa represents a complete culture and way of life—how we think, act, speak, eat, raise families, honor ancestors, train our youth, build economies, and develop strong communities. This episode lays the foundation for understanding culture as a living system rooted in good character (iwa pele), discipline, humility, and alignment with one’s Ori.
Throughout this conversation, the hosts discuss the importance of proper training over titles and initiations, the role of elders and ancestors, and the responsibility of reinvesting into the culture to ensure its survival and growth. The episode also emphasizes unity among Yoruba people across the global diaspora and the need to prepare the next generation through education, structure, and collective effort.
Topics covered include:
the purpose of Let’sTalkIFA
culture beyond spirituality
the difference between initiation and true training
honoring Ori, ancestors, and elders
unity within the Yoruba diaspora
economic circulation and cultural responsibility
destiny, character, and individual life paths
This episode sets the tone for future conversations featuring babalaos, iyalos, elders, cultural leaders, and teachers from around the world. Let’sTalkIFA is a platform for education, accountability, cultural clarity, and forward-thinking action.
Class is now in session.
