Federal Way Coalition Against Trafficking (FWCAT) is a group of committed individuals that educates and engages our community so that each person can play a role in ending human trafficking. Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) mobilizes our community in the fight against labor and sex trafficking through education, advocacy, and collaboration with local and national partners. We envision a community where no one is exploited for labor or sex.
In this introductory podcast for 2019, SAS/FWCAT Community Mobilization Director Claudia Lawrence talks about the mission, origins, and evolution of the group, as well speaking about general awareness of human trafficking, accurate public education, and community mobilization, and how you can get involved, including attending community meetings and events, and registering for the annual Break the Chains of Human Trafficking 5k awareness walk, happening Saturday, May 18th at the Commons Mall in Federal Way, WA
