Introduction  to the 1 Veteran Foundation

The 1 Veteran Foundation Podcast, where we talk about things that impact the lives of
Veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Service Dogs, and other issues.
The Foundation was started by Dave Rafus a Marine who served in the 1st Gulf War (Desert
Storm). Dave grew up in Southern Arizona and joined the Marine right out of high school
looking to serve. During his time in the Marines, he traveled the world. He never spent more

then 18 to 24 months in any one location. Whether He was in Asia, Scandinavia, or the Mid-
East, he knew that with all our services people go through. Their life would be changed forever.

So, in 2015 he created the 1 Veteran Foundation with the help of some friends to help get
information out about veteran issues and help them to get a service dogs and the help they
need.
