In this second introduction to the Samaritan Torah.  This time we delve deeper into the Academic debate surrounding the Samaritans as Jews and Hebrews.  Not only is the text of various Hebrew languages examined, we also see why the Samaritans favored the Torah separate from most other sects of the 1st century A.D. and earlier.  Admittedly there is debate on the Samaritan Hebrew spelling, place names, and Pronunciations.  This is why many favor the rigid Masoretic foundation in translation.  Furthermore there are differences in the numbers used for passage of time.  Was the Jews exile in Egypt 215 years (according to the Samaritans) or 430 years (According to mainstream Judaism).  Both favor their own traditions and Oral law.  Yet strictly control the written law.  Curiously thanks to the DSS (Dead Sea Scrolls), out of 1,900 differences the LXX (Greek Septuagint) agrees with the Samaritan Torah.
