On Tracing Owls, we will be discussing cryptids, UFOs, paranormal phenomena, high strangeness, anomalies, obscurities, natural curiosities and general weirdness, as we attempt to catalogue the overlooked, spotlight the disregarded, and remind that the cosmic expanse is much greater than our understanding of it!
This is a quirky, introspective, and oftentimes satiric, audio-blog exploration of fortean philosophy, emphasizing the impact of Mother Earth, the Cosmic Trickster and the experiencer in shaping the phenomenon. Every episode is an entity for itself, as I love to experiment and improvise with different formats, approaches and viewpoints. I also gravitate towards stream of consciousness content so the end result is an audio photograph of my mood, interest and thought process at a point in time and space!
If you are interested in bizarre biology, with wacky characters, absurdist adventures and offensive toilet humor too, then check out my other podcast Darwin's Deviations

Huge THANK YOU!!! to The Crescent Hare, a.k.a. Christina (actually a barn owl in "human" disguise) for creating this amazing podcast artwork! The idea was to have a barn owl cast the shadows of Braxie and Mothman... with its wings! Thus the outline of a mundane little cutey animal is traced onto monstrously eerie silhouettes... which are open to further interpretation 😀
I cannot thank Christina enough for this wonderful artwork which conveys all my ideas of unity between high strangeness and the natural world, so I highly encourage you to check out her work!

If you wish to proudly display your weirdness and decorate your physical vessel with a very sexy Braxie, or the very... "handsome" face of Indrid Cold, or even different variations of horny bunnies (jackalopes), all of Christina's art can be found at www.etsy.com/shop/thecrescenthare/
