Welcome back to the Invasions Series.

This series is all about the oldest stories of Ireland, and the people who came to this land from afar over thousands of years. The fourth group of people from the Mythic Cycles of Irish stories were the Fir Bolg; returning to a land that their ancestors, the Nemedians, had been driven out of.

The Fir Bolg endured slavery in the lands they fled to, and their escape back to the promised land of their ancestors was daring and desperate. They divided the land into the five provinces, and they struggled to find their feet there.

We will be talking about this story in more detail in the next episode. Drop us a line or ask us a question and we’ll try to get to it in our post-show chat coming out this Sunday.
