This episode is a little different. This is an invitation to sit quietly before the Lord and let his words and presence stir reverence and awe. This would be a great one to listen to while watching the sun rise or set or staring up in the starry night sky.

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Gonear to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not knowthat they do wrong.

 Do not be quick with your mouth,
    do not be hasty in your heart
    to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
    and you are on earth,
    so let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2

By the word of the Lord theheavens were made,
    their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
    he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
   let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
    he commanded, and it stood firm.

The Lord foils theplans of the nations;
    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
    so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, mywhole being waits,
    and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
    more than watchmen wait for the morning,
    more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
    for with the Lord is unfailing love
    and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins. Psalm 130
