This week we celebrate Palm Sunday, the commemoration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem the week before He went to the cross. We can see how important these events are for the Christian based on the attention they attract from the Gospel writers. A quarter of Matthew’s Gospel is devoted to the last week of Jesus’ earthly ministry. So, we will read Matthew 22:1-14 this Sunday and see why Jesus delivers these challenging parables.
