If the Pastoral Gift is not activated in the local church, little to no relationships exist or are strong enough to connect and provide the pathway or channel to release the activity of God in the Body. When the pastor initiates, connected relationships become conduits of life and power of Christ to fulfill His vision in the church and His work in the world. This is why returning to the Gifts in Ephesians 4 is so vital. It returns us to Jesus’ empowerment and His desire to fill the Church with Himself and begin the outflow of His life and power into the community, into the city, into the world
